Enid Blyton’s Noddy books were first published between 1949 and 1953. The television show based on Noddy was first aired in 1955 and is the longest running show on British television. Noddy is a little wooden boy who lives in his own house-for-one in Toytown. He always wears distinctive blue trousers, red shirt and red and yellow spotted scarf. When he nods his head the bell on his blue hat jingles. He loves to drive around in his little red and yellow car with his best friend Big Ears the brownie. Other Toytown characters are Mr Sparks, Tessie Bear and Bumpy Dog.
