Charles Schulz created Snoopy, a wise beagle hound with engaging facial expressions and a vivid imagination. When he sits on top of his kennel wearing his hat and goggles he becomes an ace fighter pilot. Snoopy first appeared in the newspaper cartoon comic strip 'Peanuts' in 1950, along with his master Charlie Brown. Another popular Peanuts characters is Woodstock, a little yellow bird that follows Snoopy everywhere. Snoopy has become a firm favourite with young and old alike.
