Nick Park’s plasticine creations, eccentric inventor Wallace and his quiet but smart dog Gromit, first appeared in the 1989 short animated comedy adventure film “A Grand Day Out” .

Following the film’s huge success, Wallace and Gromit went on to star in The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and Curse of the Were Rabbit.
