Disney’s High School Musical the movie has proved to be a huge success and has grown further in popularity since featuring on the Disney TV channel. The leading characters are Troy Bolton, Team Captain of East High Wildcats, and Gabriella Montez, bright and brainy new girl. Gabriella’s rival for the female lead role in the school musical is Sharpay Evans, along with her singing and dancing brother Ryan. Other characters include students Taylor McKessie and Chad Danforth, drama teacher Mrs Darbus and basketball coach Jack Bolton.
